About Us

We live in a world of accelerating change and increasing complexity. From the local level to humanity as a whole, we are facing big challenges but also tremendous opportunity.

In order for people everywhere to be able to build the future they want and deserve, it's more critical than ever to create opportunities for meaningful civic participation. One key building block on our way to making this vision a reality is to foster a community engagement industry in which practitioners can thrive, both intellectually and economically.

The Center for Applied Community Engagement aims to support and connect the growing professional field of community engagement and public participation practitioners from around the globe through market research, content publishing, industry events and other services.

We are a social enterprise – a private for-profit institute with a public good mission.
